Wedding photography is something that has always interested me but I've never had the curiosity to pursue it. Until recently. It's always exciting to discover an interest in a new subject of photography. I love photography so much and to find that spark for a new branch of my passion? That's everything! The inspiration is so fresh which brings me into a new headspace for creating.
New England is such a stunning area and New England Weddings are pristine. From New Hampshire's unforgettable mountain ranges to the dramatic shore lines of Maine, it's hard NOT to be inspired for creative wedding photography. I think what's so intriguing about it, is that people invite you into the most important day of their life and allow you to be part of it. I'm obsessed with the personal details of human life and this endeavor is an open door to record those stories.
My first New England Wedding was with a down to the Earth couple, luckily. Jen, a preschool teacher, and Mike, a carpenter, reached out to me to photograph their elopement. An elopement! This beautiful couple invited me into their tender, precious moment so that they could then share it with their friends and family. None of which were there. But I was, and I knew I had to capture these moments with delicacy.
Hugged by the unique landscape of Pleasant Lake in New London New Hampshire, Jen and Mike's elopement will be difficult to forget. This was such a crucial moment for my career and for their lives. Which is so special to me.
